newborn: Avery James

My newborn in-home lifestyle sessions take me all over the Acadiana area. I love it because I get to “go to town” and run my Lafayette errands. That statement falls under the heading “things I never thought I’d say”. This particular family is from my area (Jeanerette and Franklin) and now lives in Youngsville! This family has beautiful girls and added another into the mix.

I love the classic portraits of mom, dad and baby. I can imagine them on my own walls so I sure hope that families love them as much as I do. There’s something so great about capturing the way that a mom looks at their newborn, or a dad’s large hands compared to the baby’s size. It’s once in a lifetime. I hope sweet Avery James can look back on these pictures when she’s older and maybe put one or two up in her own house. Stephanie (mom) wanted to especially capture their everyday life, which included a backyard swing session. I love that she wanted to freeze this time with her girls!

Once again I broke out my 35mm film camera for some of these outside portraits and I can’t wait to share them with you!
